This room of the museum houses a number of millstones from various historical periods. The oldest dates back to the Nuragic period and is known as a "saddle" millstone. Next is the hopper millstone, or Greek-style millstone, consisting of two quadrangular elements operated by a wooden lever. Among the Roman millstones there a 'legionnaire' millstone, consisting of circular elements operated by hand using a small lever, and a donkey millstone, operated by people or pack animals for large-scale production.
